New Parcel Media options in Second Life… Coming soon!
Parcel Media Changes in 1.19.1 Release Candidate « Official Linden Blog
Linden Lab is working on some changes for the media in Second Life. To the traditional Music and Video they are now adding HTML, so you can “play” a webpage on a prim.
Is a good thing, specially after the problems with the Quick Time exploder (now fixed by Apple, it seems). Anyway is important you know a couple of things:
You can “show” HTML in a prim but this HTML won’t be interactive as in a browser.
The HTML shown on a prim won’t play flash, so no YouTube (or similar) videos.
Take a look at the Video tutorials by Torley Linden in the post in the Official Linden Lab blog, are useful, and is always nice to listen to Torley.

This is very cool – I have been waiting for this for a while – lots of ideas
Have you tried a flickr slideshow on a prim yet? Drop me a comment on my blog re: “HTML sort of”
Yes, Wolf, interesting the new possibilities!
JeanRicard, i still didn’t tried it, but for what i know the prims don’t “play” flash or rrs so… not sure if it will work, anyway, let’s try it!
