Let's talk about SLex… too
After reading a post by Timothy Lilliehook and another one by Tenebrous Pau about SLex, with this questions (but with his own answers, of course) i liked the idea, and even is not a meme, SLex is always a good theme to talk about.
- Let’s get it out of the way first. Are you a virgin in SL? [If you are, move to question 3.]
No, nor in RL. :-p - How long did it take you before you hopped on a poseball with someone? And I don’t mean dance balls.
Quite quick, possibly in my first week. I like to try things. - Do you own any talking genitalia, such as from Xcite?
I use nice genitalia, but is not talking one, i have my own words, don’t need a prim to speak for me. - Guys: Do you edit your “package” to be bigger?
Yes, I edit it, but not to look bigger, the last upgrade of my “package” actually had to make it smaller to match the proportions of my shape. - Do you rely on your talking body parts during your encounters?
No, as i said i have my own words, for me the most important thing in SLex is words, because there is no other way of communication with your SLex partner. - Forget the booty, let’s talk romance. Where’s a romantic place in SL to take someone to?
Are we talking about SLex or about romance? Well, i think the perfect place is my little island, quiet place, really quiet… and private! - When you go shopping for clothes, do you deliberately buy things that you think your gf/bf/partner/flavor of the week would like to see you in?
No, i always buy what i like even my partner dislikes it. Anyway, if there is something my partner dislikes and i like then i try to wear it while we are not together. - Let’s move to commitment: Do you think people get partnered too quickly in SL?
I presume this is a personal question, it depends on each and everyone, anyway partnering is just 10L$ each, and divorce 25L$ for the one that ask for it, quite cheap, at least cheaper than almost everything in Second Life. - Big wedding, small wedding, or no wedding at all? And do you get partnered BEFORE the wedding or afterwards?
No wedding. Of course i respect and enjoy other’s weddings, but personally the only wedding i will have will be a mock one with some dressed like Elvis in his worst Las Vegas days joining our hands together. - Last question, and it’s of course back to the booty.
Be honest, how many sex items [furniture and poseballs] do you have around your place?
Some, but actually i have a HUD that rezzes nice animations where ever you are, so… i can do it in the sofa…. i can do it on the floor… i can do it on the kitchen table, baby…
This is not a meme, i’m not “marking” no one, but share your experiences if you want!
The next big thing…
This image is just to illustrate i’m having fun lately, but even it seems i’m having too much fun, actually i’m working on some things, of course.
I’m the man of the thousand projects who normally just finish a few… I admit it. But i will tell you about projects almost done.
First, i’m working on a small show of some of my SLphotography at The Cannery Rezzable, that is almost ready, just want to work on a unreleased photography, something really new to open this show. The name of the show will be “Rauliiiiicious!!!” and i will post about it , with SLurl and stuff in a couple of days, when all will be fully ready. I’d like to thanks Timothy Lilliehook for his help during scripting some stuff, and to Hio Taringa for the name of the show (actually the name was originally a joke,
). And of course thanks also to Rezzable and the Rezzable team.
Other project, much less defined, is the one some friends and me are trying to propose to the SL5B (Second Life 5th Birthday) celebration. Still don’t want to give much details becuase we are still working on it, but i really like the idea of working in a team to do all together with such creative bunch of friends. More info about this… soon (or at least as soon the SL5B committee accepts our proposal).
Adam and Steve
Some days ago I was talking with some friends during a “shopping hair” exploration. After joking about a lot of things someone mentioned that “God made Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve” sentence, and then I thought it may be a fun idea to make my version, inspired in the work “Adam and Eve” painted in 1507 by Albretch Durer and now in the Museo Nacional del Prado in Madrid.
This is a joke, because i think humour is the best way to fight against some intolerant people… Well, is not only a question of humour, is just that intolerant people are so ridiculous that sometimes is better to laugh than to be angry.
Always though respect for others life and beliefs is important, but, sincerely, someone that is too worried about who the others go to bed with and dedicates his energies to spread just hate and pain doesn’t deserve my respect. So to all that religious extremists i say: “It was Adam and Steve!”.
Inside the Arthole
Some days ago I posted something about the new exhibition of Arahan Claveau and Nebulosus Severine (featuring Ichibot Nishi). I’ve been at the opening, was totally great to enjoy the place and the DJ sessions of Arahan and Nebulosus with great people, mostly friends. At the opening was too concentrated to take pics, but i visited Arthole again yesterday and took some pics.
I’ll try to show you most (but not all you can find there):

First level of the Arthole is, basically, some old works by Arahan and Nebulosus, but redone under a new perspective. I’d like to remark the two lockers at the sides of the landing point, that were shown in the Salon de Disruptif exhibition at the Heldscalla Gallery last year. This lockers are, in my opinion, the most personal work in the Arthole.
In the second level, some new works by Arahan and Nebulosus. Spatial, conceptual, dynamic, … are some of the adjectives that come to my mind when i was seeing the artworks, well, not sure if seeing is the right word, possibly immersed is better.
Finally, in the third level, the installation “λ.mnemonic” by Ichibot Nishi. The first thing that calls your attention is some perfect silicone breasts forming in the wall the word “SILENCE”. Then after some moments the breasts start to fly around, freely.
Of course the breasts is not the only object you can find in this installation. Is better you explore for yourself the space and take your own conclusions. Ichibot didn’t wrote any explanation about this work in a notecard, i presume he wants us to have our own conclusion. Anyway, in my opinion the installation is about the “thing-ification” of the body of the woman through plastic surgery and the beauty standards, I mean, the body of the woman understood as a thing. Maybe the artist didn’t wanted to express his worries about this issue, but, well, just Ichibot knows…
I’m not an art critic, I just know two kinds of art, the art i like, and the art i dislike… Arthole gallery is full of art i like.
