Oh god SL6B, is it over yet?

Last year within about one minute of arriving some lady IM'd me and said "Excuse me are you aware this is a PG zone?". I imagine she took issue with my avatar looking sexier than hers but I ignored her and pranced around proudly!

Interesting not with the opening of the event on the whole, I am still trying to get the definitive response from those who took part and created exhibitions for the event, and have had a decided two tier response.

Would like to declare a vested interest as we use the platform as a business tool, and as such would like it to go forward and upwards.

I have noted what I call the charm offensive by the Labs over the last few months, if its not the SL6B, its the Community partners program/conference, and the pushing of the gateways program as well, but again the Labs do not seem to get the big picture, yes The US is a greater market than the EU, and UK specific, but hey what harm would there have been in 2 opening ceremonies especial as the infrastructure did suffer major glitches because of the overload. As I commented to someone inworld when we discussed the opening times, and how it impacted on us in the EU, the real life markets have been open for 5 hours so far, and the world continues to revolve while the US sleeps, well while the virtual world sleeps.

VW as we know it is going through flux at the moment, and as the old saying goes "the public gets what the public wants" and as such for a big player like LL not to take into account the geography of its partners/clients and I use this term loosely is I am afraid one more oversight amongst many.

Apart from that I wish second-life a very happy 6th Birthday
