Some weeks ago Chou Skinstad and Kali Marville asked me to collaborate with them in a project they had for a Xmas special issue of Uncover, of course i didn’t knew what was about exactly, but knowing them i said: “ZOMG yesh!”, i knew the result would be great… and it is!

Chou and Kali joined together a crazy group of residents to help them making this (in magazine from page 34 to page 105) and some really funny letter to Santa too. As always the magazine edition is really good and i’m sure this is the best gift we can receive: fun moments, smiles, etc…

Thanks to Chou and Kali for letting me be in it, to the Uncover team for making every month a so good magazine, to the rest of the people in the project for making it so fun… and to you all… Merry Christmas!!!

A sweet gift

Vint Falken is one of my oldest friends in Second Life, i know her from forever i think, ha ha ha :-D

She was made for me a really nice gift for this Valentine’s, as she said in her blog, no “amoureux” porposal, but is lovely to see it. She tried a sim-on-demand service in OpenSim and she asked for a temporary sim sith my name terraformed, viset his post to see all the gifts she made… i’m sure all the people with their names in terraforming are more than happy.

I just can say <3<3<3!!!

crossworlds in Florence

Second Life is part of my life, not a parallel reality, not another world… for me is part of my world and my life. Not only a place where i can have fun, or create, or explore and get surprised by creation of others, is also a place where i met (and meet every day) wonderful people, fun, caring and creative.

In the pic, two of my best friends, Ganymedes Costagravas (who i met in RL some month ago) and Khamudy Mannonen.

Say cheeeeeese!

This next Friday i’m going to meet RL some of that wonderful people, in Florence.

There is an exhibition about Second Life photography and creation in Florence and some friends decided to go together. Khamudy Mannonen, Silverdrake Sparrow, Keiko Morigi, Luther Caffagno, Pier Temple and Pilgrim Miles (and me, Raul Crimson and possibly some more people), all we will have some great days together. It will be a total “crossworld” week! SL meet RL!

You can imagine how excited i am! After the days in Florence i will write a post telling my impressions, the funny stuff and all. ;-)

Unbalanced Harmony by Prad Prathivi

Prad Prathivi is a cool guy, all the times we met was fun, sweet and slightly naughty (what is GOOD, of course :-D ).

Yesterday i visited his new art installation:

Unbalanced Harmony - Raul Crimson

Even it doesn’t seem is as big as the sim, or almost (had to use Ctrl + 8 to zoom out to have all the work in the screen)

Go there and let your mind think, imagine… is what i did.

Not only a beautiful work, also a expression of Prad’s mind, it really worths a visit.

Nebulosus Severine at the NPIRL Garden of Delights

Nebulosus is not only a good friend, is also one of the most interesting artists in Second Life in my opinion.

I like specially her work in 3D installations, even being mainly abstract (I mean not figurative), they are provoking and nearly. They surround you and make you feel part of it. Inside one Neb’s 3D artwork you don’t feel a strange, you feel being part of it.

Nebulosus built one of her works in The NPIRL Garden of Delights in Rezzable (SLurl), a group of sims full of environmental, hyper-formalist and 3D art. The inspirations for this project was the triptych painting “The Garden of Earthly Delights”by Hieronymus Bosch, painted between 1503 and 1504 and hosted in the Museo Nacional del Prado in Madrid.

From all the works there i selected to show this one, the one by Nebulosus, and i have my reasons to do it. First, she is a friend (and i can’t find a better reason ;-) ), second, is one of the works i liked most during my explorations there, a highlight.

The installation is divided in two parts, a dark one in ground level, and a bright one up in the sky. The lower level is in black, red and some touches of white. The higher area is white and blue, with some touches of black.
