IDIA’s Flickr Gettr installation

Some days ago, while exploring around i saw this installation in IDIA’s sims. Actually found it in the Second Life® Destination Guide, he he he, and i so amazed when i saw it that i had to film it!

It is an installation that connects Flickr, Second Life and even mobile phones, depending on your search the pictures turning around will change. It is just amazing and a cool way to show the possibilities of interconnecting social tools.

If you like it, please, visit it in IDIAA Studios (126,193,8).

WaterCycle @ Burn2

This year i wanted to be part of Burn2, maybe because it was not a “Linden Event” for the first time, maybe because i always liked it and wanted to be part of it. Anyway, this year finally did it!

Burn2 LogoMy installation, called WaterCycle (you can see it in the video above) is about water and the use of it by humans creating a “perfect movement” ideal machine that taking water from a pond should transform it in clouds to cause rain to refill the pond.

Burn2 has ended, but you can still visit the installation for the next few days in this SLurl.

Honour McMillan wrote in her blog some really interesting posts about Burn2.

Unbalanced Harmony by Prad Prathivi

Prad Prathivi is a cool guy, all the times we met was fun, sweet and slightly naughty (what is GOOD, of course :-D ).

Yesterday i visited his new art installation:

Unbalanced Harmony - Raul Crimson

Even it doesn’t seem is as big as the sim, or almost (had to use Ctrl + 8 to zoom out to have all the work in the screen)

Go there and let your mind think, imagine… is what i did.

Not only a beautiful work, also a expression of Prad’s mind, it really worths a visit.

Musa Artis… is coming out

Something is coming out…

Some days ago, in some of my last posts, i’m talking about a project… this project is near to be a reality.

Zinc Karas, one of my mates in this project, made this teaser (published under a Creative Commons license Attribution-Noncommercial-Share Alike 2.0 Generic)

But, for the moment, my lips have to be sealed. ;-)

Inside the Arthole

Some days ago I posted something about the new exhibition of Arahan Claveau and Nebulosus Severine (featuring Ichibot Nishi). I’ve been at the opening, was totally great to enjoy the place and the DJ sessions of Arahan and Nebulosus with great people, mostly friends. At the opening was too concentrated to take pics, but i visited Arthole again yesterday and took some pics.

I’ll try to show you most (but not all you can find there):

Artworks by Arahan Claveau The cult(ure) of television by Nebulosus Severine
Inside Nebulosus
First level of the Arthole is, basically, some old works by Arahan and Nebulosus, but redone under a new perspective. I’d like to remark the two lockers at the sides of the landing point, that were shown in the Salon de Disruptif exhibition at the Heldscalla Gallery last year. This lockers are, in my opinion, the most personal work in the Arthole.

In the second level, some new works by Arahan and Nebulosus. Spatial, conceptual, dynamic, … are some of the adjectives that come to my mind when i was seeing the artworks, well, not sure if seeing is the right word, possibly immersed is better.

If you have a cross to bear... Center of attention

Finally, in the third level, the installation “λ.mnemonic” by Ichibot Nishi. The first thing that calls your attention is some perfect silicone breasts forming in the wall the word “SILENCE”. Then after some moments the breasts start to fly around, freely.

λ.mnemonic

Of course the breasts is not the only object you can find in this installation. Is better you explore for yourself the space and take your own conclusions. Ichibot didn’t wrote any explanation about this work in a notecard, i presume he wants us to have our own conclusion. Anyway, in my opinion the installation is about the “thing-ification” of the body of the woman through plastic surgery and the beauty standards, I mean, the body of the woman understood as a thing. Maybe the artist didn’t wanted to express his worries about this issue, but, well, just Ichibot knows…

I’m not an art critic, I just know two kinds of art, the art i like, and the art i dislike… Arthole gallery is full of art i like.

Visit the Arthole.
