Chasm by Nebulosus Severine

Nebulosus Severine is one of the most creative artist working now in Second Life. This time she opened a temporary installation as big as a full region.

The sensation of lost, of the “chasm” that separate all us, is the main theme of the instalation. Anyway, i think is better you see the images, you go and decide for yourself, feeling what Nebulosus wants to tell us.

Chasm by Nebulosus Severine (The Two Towers)

Due the complexity of the work itself, Nebulosus recomends some special setting to enjoy the work as she imagined. Some specially created Windlight settings and the stream playing are recomended, find them in this post in Arthole blog.

Chasm by Nebulosus Severine (The Victim) For a more information about the settings, please, visit also this other post.

Nebulosus is part of Arthole, a group of artist creating in Second Life. Their works are normally installations that explore the sides of the human being, that hidden sides…

Arahan Claveau and Ichibot Nishi are the other members of the Arthole, a part of their personal installations around the grid they have also what we can call an “art gallery”. A place to show their works, a place to project together. Chasm by Nebulosus Severine (The Two Towers 2) Some time ago i wrote a post about the Arthole talking a bit about their project.

Now follow that links, download the Windlight settings, follow this SLurl and visit Chasm. The installation will be there for a month, so run!

As part of this colaborative space that is Arthole, Arahan Claveau made this video about Chasm:

Paradise is so near…

Swimming, originally uploaded by Raul Crimson.

I’m a bit old in Second Life (more than a year) and still is so wonderful to discover great places, fantastic corners of the metaverse.

A couple of days ago Silverdrake, Ganymedes and me were trying to find a rainforest for a Silver’s project, after running over a couple sims I suggested to visit one sim i know (I remembered that there were a rainforest area, but didn’t visited it before). After flying over the sim I found a wondeful corner, with a river in the middle of the forest, a lot of plants, a cascade…

After some minutes we teleported there some good friends and
stayed there for a long time, enjoying the place. Was like a picnic day with friends, enjoying each other company, relaxing. Even is possible to rezz objects there so was possible to have some nice poseballs and a couple of rafts.

The sensation was like when you find a virgin beach, really beautiful, and there is nobody there, was so nice to have this sensation still…

Still swimming Silverdrake and me

Not only nice virtual nature places, also art…

Soldeus shown me a HUGE enviromental instalation he found in a sim called Otona Sea. Is, possibly, one of the most interesting artworks i saw in Second Life.

Is some like a giant sphere, with animated prims and textures everywhere, quite organic feeling. Someway it remembered me Dune (maybe because some “worms” that are moving (living?) there).

The creator is Juria Yoshikawa, you can visit the place following this SLurl. It really worths a visit.

Some images of that artwork here:
