Musa Artis… the closing party
Yesterday, sunday September 7th, we closed Musa Artis: Temptation & Revenge. As i announced in an old post the theme of the closing party was “The Barbarian Invasions”.
The party was just GREAT! Due to some technical issues i was having then in Second Life was impossible to take pics, anyway, the great Cerdwin Flanagan and Nimil Blackflag gave me permission to use some of their pics all protected by a © (thanks, cuties!).
Cerdwin was the great DJ, i LOVED the music, from “The Cure” to “Dead or Alive” and many more. In the pic dancing with Nimil and Lucas.
Some great friends and wonderful people were there, in the pics ladies like Pilgrim Miles, Nimil Blackflag, Seide Tripp and Denise Rowlands with Mecca Merosi. In the guys pic, me, Ganymedes Costagravas, Zinc Karas and Stephen Venkman. More people were coming a bit later, yesterday Second Life was having one of those bad days… you know what i mean.
All the Musa Artis team (you know, Khamudy Mannonen, Keiko Morigi, Pilgrim Miles, Zinc Karas, Ganymedes Costagravas, Silverdrake Sparrow, Keeran Blackadder, Cerdwin Flanagan and me) were SO excited, well, having some contradictory feelings, some like sadness mixed with liberation. As part of the event we decided to destroy all the buildings.
This is just a small show of what we did.
Was really fun!
Basically was to unlink the buildings, then make the prims physical and temporary then… BOOM!!!! Ha ha ha, quite funny! You can see in the pics some of the results.
After ending with all the buildings around we returned to the Events Area (the only building remaining) and then arrived some friends, like Siryn Rosse and Vasean Talamasca… then is when the party went crazy! Well, maybe crazy is not enough to describe it.
From that moment most of us ended completly naked and all were fire, bombs, penis guns, particles and even headcrabs around, ha ha ha…
Some more pics so you can see it:
To see more pics you should check the Flickr photostreams of Cerdwin and Nimil.
I just can say thanks, to all the people that came and made a party something unforgetable, to Cerdwin for the great music session, to Cerdwin and Nimil for the pics, to all my Musa Artis mates for the great experience that is work with them.

Today was the opening, sorry for posting this so late, but was impossible before (was out of town and arrived just for the party).
The awesome Keiko Morigi made this image, as an invite for the party. The party itself was absolutely fabulous! Arahan Claveau was DJing for 2 hours with the best indie tracks, all the time more than 40 people in the sim. Actually this last had a bad side, some people missed the party because was impossible to access the region (so sorry to that ones), even some of the exhibitors crashed and then had to wait to access again the region.
I’ll post soon with some images about the party and possibly a link to the DJing session. Just wanted to say thanks to all the people that came (or tried to came) and to all the ones that supported us.
For now you can visit Musa Artis arriving to the landing point following this SLurl.

A series of mythological artworks exploring
the themes of temptation and revenge.Opening 12pm PST (SLT), 27th July 2008 until 7th September 2008
Musa Artis: Temptation & Revenge is a new exhibition that began life as a project penned for Second Life’s Fifth Birthday celebrations but developed into a larger independent exhibition. The central theme explores two of the darker influences on human nature and how these have been worked into the fabric of mythology. Drawing influences ranging from ancient Greece through to Celtic and more modern subcultures, each individual exhibit features a display of images, worked into the environment by each artist helping to contextualise the subjects depicted.
Musa Artis is a group of artists formed during the conception of the Temptation & Revenge exhibition in 2008, which came together due to a commonality of interests and philosophies regarding art within Second Life and were determined to create successful collaborative work in an independent fashion, free of the regulatory interference of either event organisers or gallery promoters. Temptation & Revenge represents their first in world collaborative project.
Visitors are very much encouraged to take their time exploring the individual exhibits and the ambience of the natural settings, interacting with the scenery to create their own custom images.
The opening reception and toga party begins at midday on Sunday 26th July, with music provided by guest DJ Arahan Claveau.
SLURL will follow in coming days.
This exhibition includes work by:
Keeran Blackadder, Ganymedes Costagravas, Raul Crimson, Cerdwin Flanagan, Zinc Karas, Khamudy Mannonen, Pilgrim Miles, Keiko Morigi, Silverdrake Sparrow.Contact: Khamudy@gmail.com
Alternatively, contact the artists in-world or through their Flickr profiles.
So, you know, you’re invited to the party next sunday! I will post a SLurl before sunday.
